Cane Adam, a little about our history and what we do.
Cane Adam originaly set up as a family business in 1985 to service decorators in the Guildford area, growing over 10 years to 6 branches in the surrounding towns Aldershot, Camberley, Weybridge, Basingstoke & Farnham. We became part of the Brewers group in 1995 and opened Alton, Leatherhead and Wokingham followed shortly afterwards. Brewers are a family business that understood the personal touch and the Cane Adam trading style was left alone which has been the same to this day. In 2005 and we started looking at alternative services we could add to enrich the offering and a Protective Coatings division was established at our Basingstoke branch. This grew quickly, and it was moved to larger premises in Maidenhead after a year or so, a technical support line was set up which is still in operation today and a dedicated Spray division 'Spraystore' was established. Spraystore now operates from 9 branches throughout the Brewers and Cane Adam network both selling and hiring airless and HVLP spray machines. As part of a larger independent group Cane Adam has access to every desirable brand and product needed to service decorators and general public.
Our business is built on a family heritage which remains today and is here to offer the best possible service to our customers, our aspiration is to be the decorators first choice, if you use our services we hope you will agree.
Decorative Trade Paints
There are many reasons why decorators come to Cane Adam but we like to think it includes choice, service and availability. This is how we differ from the competition, there are few places that you can visit to collect from such a vast range of brands including Dulux, Crown, Johnstones, Sandtex, Sikkens, Sadolin, Little Greene, Sandersons, Farrow & Ball, Paint Library, Traditions...the list goes on and on.
Product is not the only reason of course, this has to be accompanied by service, this helps our customers get the best results. Service that includes friendly counter service, free daily delivery, credit account facilities, technical support service, specialised spray department, sales representatives and after sales support.
Designer Paints
Designer paints is the name to describe all the paint ranges which set out to evoke a present style or a particular period drawn from the past. Some are influenced by the history and architecture or the changing face of nature, the landscape or even the catwalk while others may reflect the personal, distinctive tastes of the designers themselves – whichever the case, all have been chosen with great care to produce the appropriate colour palette.
Some brands are made using techniques and ingredients that have been tried and tested for hundreds of years, others are manufactured specifically with empathy for the environment in mind. A selection of the brands that we keep in central stock are listed below. This means that we are able to order them in very quickly for you to collect from your local branch. Many of our branches keep stock of Farrow & Ball, Sanderson, Paint Library and Little Greene. If you want to know if a product is in stock before travelling to the branch please phone ahead.
Protective Coatings
A division of the company dedicated to providing specialist service, support and paint systems in the potentially confusing high performance coatings sector of the industry. We offer impartial and independent advice, allowing us to recommend the best products and systems from a range of manufacturers for each individual project. From conception to completion our team is available to advise, recommend and support you to a successful finish.
The Protective Coatings Centre at Maidenhead and our team of Icorr trained and qualified locally based Painting Inspectors offer the following services;
